The tour will be led by Josh Smith, Director of Ecology at Rigidized Metals Corporation and a BNRLT Board Member. A passionate plant enthusiast and pioneer in creative, innovative habitat restoration, Josh is helping guide the 20+ acre RMC/Silo City campus from its industrial past toward a thriving ecological future. Silo City also supplies plants to the Buffalo Zoo, Tifft Nature Preserve, Western New York Land Conservancy, and Buffalo Niagara River Land Trust. Come explore Josh’s inventive approach to growing native plants, restoring habitat, and helping nature reclaim a once-industrial landscape.
